RH510 DTH Hammer series revised to replace the RH550 DTH Hammer ​

The Sandvik RH510 series of hammers delivers high performance and added value to most drilling applications. 

This is achieved through a proprietary interface between the piston and bit. This optimizes impact energy transmission to boost  penetration rates. The result will deliver excellent economy through high productivity. It is designed for operating pressures up to 24 bar (350 psi) . The RH510 hammer does not require a foot valve in the bit further lowering the chance for down time. The unique design maximizes energy efficiency along with fuel savings and minimizes total drilling costs.

Sandvik 6" 460g Hammer Has Been Released

The complete RH460 family consists 4 standard size hammers ranging from 4” – 8”.  The 4”, 5”, 5”G, 6" and 6"G are available for order now. The 8” hammer will follow during 2014. All RH460 hammers are designed to utilize bits with industry standard shanks.

Design, Test and Evaluate 
The new design promises to prolong hammer life and increase drilling penetration rates.

Through enhanced air cycle the RH460 will reduce fuel costs. Power level will increase productivity through better lubrication capabilities, improvements in resistance against galling and developments in the piston bearing design. Put quite simply, piston and hammer life will be dramatically increased.
